DIY gift box

I need a lot of gift boxes. I bought a magazine with DIY gift ideas. They had some amazing ideas how you can use household items to create wonderful gift boxes. I would like to share some ideas with you. I saved already a lot of money by using household items. Have a look.

Take a tea box and clean the inside. Also take some craft paper.


Glue the craft paper on the tea box. I used double side glue tape, which is very easy to use.


Attach a ribbon and fill the box with cookies. :-)

DIY birthday gift

My friend loves coffee, hot chocolate,...she is a fan of dark chocolate and has a sweet tooth. How can I combine all this in one birthday gift?
I bought a large mug. The mug said Live-Laugh-Love. I dipped pink spoons into rich dark belgian chocolate and sprinkled them with cocos, crocant and crushed chocolate coffee beans. She can take a spoon, dip it into the hot beverage and the chocolate will melt away with all the flavours in it. Isn't that fun? Her guests asked me where I bought the spoons. ;-)

Meine Freundin trinkt gerne Kaffee und heisse Schokolade. Sie liebt Zartbitterschokolade. Ich habe mir ueberlegt wie ich das in ein Geschenk verpacken kann. Somit habe ich ihr eine schoene Tasse gekauft. Auf der Tasse steht Live-Laugh-Love. Ich habe Essloeffel mit belgischer Zartbitterschokolade ueberzogen. Das ganze habe ich dann noch mit Kokosflocken, Krokant und zerkleinerten Schokoladenkaffeebohnen bestreut. Jetzt kann sie ihr Heissgetraenk mit einem Schokoladenloeffel umruehren. Die Schokolade schmilzt und das ganze bekommt einen tollen Geschmack. Ihre Gaeste haben mich gefragt wo ich die Schokoladenloeffel gekauft habe. ;-)

Happy Birthday Trecia!

My friend had her 40th Birthday. I had the pleasure to do the birthday cake ;-). It was so much fun to do the cake. It was simple to do (for me ;-)) and it looked so gorgeous. The birthday queen and the guests loved the cake. The candles are sparkling candles. My friend doesn't want to cut the cake because she doesn't want to destroy it :-) LOL. That's always the best feedback I can get. Thanks for inviting us over and we loved to be there on your special day. It was so amazing. We had such a good time! LY!

Meine Freundin hatte ihren 40. Geburtstag. Ich war fuer ihre Geburtstagstorte zustaendig ;-). Es hat mir wieder einmal so viel Spass gemacht und die Torte war wirklich einfach zu machen. Die Torte kam so gut an. Die Geburtstagszahlen sind Wunderkerzen. Meine Freundin wollte die Torte erst gar nicht anschneiden weil sie es so schade fand die Torte zu "zerstoeren". Das ist das Beste Feedback was ich bekommen kann. :-)

Happy Birthday Ralf!

Yesterday was my brothers Bday. I didn't make anything fancy because it was in the middle of the week. He wanted his favourite cookies for his work. Normally I always do the chocolate cookies (http://www.sweetsugarbelle.com/blog/2012/01/the-easiest-cookies-you-will-ever-make/) but this time I did the same recipe but I changed the dough and sprinkles. I did white cherry chip cookies in silver sugar sprinkles. He wished for an apple crumble cake. I'll do the cake on sunday.

BDays are coming up

I'm so excited! I have so many BDays coming up. It means I have a lot of baking to do. Easter is around the corner as well. I'll keep you updated!

Snowflake cookies

Ok daylight saving time is around the corner. This will be the last post with winter themed baking goods til November. ;-) Freshly new spring theme goodies will be coming up!
We got a dump of snow last week. So I used my last snowflake sprinkles before the winter is finally over. Happy baking!
